Mardyan District is situated in the central eastern part of the Jowzjan Province, Afghanistan. It borders Mingajik District to the west, Qarqin District to north, Balkh Province and Fayzabad District to the east and Aqcha District to the south. The population is 34,200 (2006). The district center is the village of Mardyan, located in the central part of the district.

The Provinces of Thailand are part of the government of Thailand that is divided into 76 provinces proper and one special administrative area, representing the capital Bangkok. They are the primary local government units and are divided into amphoes (districts) and also act as juristic persons. Each province is led by a governor, who is appointed by the central government.
Turkey is divided into 81 provinces. Each province is divided into a number of different districts. Each provincial government is seated in the central district. The central district usually bears the name of the province. There are only three exceptions to this naming scheme:
Karabük Province is a landlocked province in the northern part of Anatolia, located about 200 km (124 mi) north of Ankara, 115 km (71 mi) away from Zonguldak and 113 km (70 mi) away from Kastamonu. In 2010 it had a population of 227,610. The main city is Karabük which is located about 100 km (62 mi) south of the Black Sea coast.
Adıyaman Province is a province in south-central Turkey. It was created in 1954 out of part of Malatya Province. It has an area of 7,606.16 km² and a population of 590,935, up from 513,131 in 1990. The capital is Adıyaman. The province is mostly Kurdish and conservative.
The United Provinces of Agra and Oudh was a province of India under the British Raj, which existed from 1902 to 1947; the official name was shortened by the Government of India Act 1935 to United Provinces (UP), by which the province had been commonly known, and by which name it was also a province of independent India until 1950. It corresponded approximately to the present-day Indian states of Uttar Pradesh (UP) and Uttarakhand. Allahabad served as the administrative headquarters and the capital of the province. From 1856 to 1902, the region had existed as two separate provinces, North-Western Provinces and Oudh State.
Sivas Province is a province of Turkey. It is largely located at the eastern part of the Central Anatolia region of Turkey; it is the second largest province in Turkey by territory. Its adjacent provinces are Yozgat to the west, Kayseri to the southwest, Kahramanmaraş to the south, Malatya to the southeast, Erzincan to the east, Giresun to the northeast, and Ordu to the north. Its capital is Sivas.
Kırşehir Province is located in central Turkey, forming part of the central Anatolian region. It stands on the North Anatolian Fault, and is currently in an earthquake warning zone. The average elevation is approximately 985 meters above sea level. The provincial capital is Kırşehir.
Daman District is situated in the central part of the Kandahar Province, Afghanistan. It borders Panjwai and Kandahar districts to the west, Shah Wali Kot District to the north, Zabul Province to the northeast, Arghistan and Spin Boldak districts to the east and Reg District to the south. The population is 30,700 (2006). The center is the village of Daman, located in the central part of the district. The area is irrigated by the Helmand and Arghandab Valley Authority.
Nesh is a mountainous district in the northern part of Kandahar Province, shifted from Oruzgan Province, Afghanistan. It borders Oruzgan Province to the west, north and east and Shah Wali Kot, Khakrez and Ghorak districts to the south. The population is 14,884 (2019). The district center is the village of Naish, located in the central part of the district.
Darwaz-e Bala, also known as Nusay, is a district in Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan. It was created in 2005 from part of Darwaz District. It is home to approximately 11,000 residents.
Dihdadi District is situated in the central part of Balkh province, Afghanistan. It is not far from the capital of the province Mazari Sharif - about 15 km in eastern direction from the district capital Dihdadi.
Adraskan is a district in the central part of Herat Province in Afghanistan. It is bordered to the west by Iran, to the north by Ghoryan District, Zinda Jan District, Guzara District, Pashtun Zarghun District and Obe District, to the east by Farsi District and to the south by Shindand District.
Mardyan is a village and the center of Mardyan District, Jowzjan Province, Afghanistan. It is located at 36.9972°N 66.3067°E at 288 m altitude, northeast of Aqchah.
Mangajik District is situated in the central part of Jowzjan Province, Afghanistan. It borders Khwaja du koh and Khamyab districts to the west, Qarqin District to the north, Mardyan District to the east and Aqcha District to the south. The population is 38,100 (2006). The district center is the village of Mingajik, located in the southern part of the district and a few miles from Aqchah to the northwest.
Shakardara District is situated in the central part of Kabul Province, Afghanistan. It has a population of 63,000 people, with another 10,000 expected to return from abroad.
Kohband District is situated in the northwestern part of Kapisa Province, Afghanistan. It borders Kohistan District to the west, Parvan Province to the north, Nijrab District to the east and Mahmud Raqi District to the south. The population is 26,133 (2019). The district center is Hajjikheyl located in the western part of the district. The people mostly speak Pashayi language.
Spera District is situated in the most southwestern part of Khost Province, Afghanistan. It borders with Paktia Province to the south and west, Shamal District to the north. The district is within the heartland of the Zadran tribe of Pashtuns. To the east it borders Nadir Shah Kot and Tani districts and Pakistan. The population is 21,500 people. The district center is the village of Spera, situated in the central part of the district.
The Ali abad District is situated in the southern part of Kunduz Province, Afghanistan. It borders the Baghlan Province to the south, Chahar dara District to the west, Kunduz and Khan Abad districts to the north and Takhar Province to the east.
Azra District is a district of Logar Province, Afghanistan. It is located in the eastern part of the district and is 140 km from the capital Kabul. It was moved from Paktia Province. The district is geographically isolated from the capital of Logar. The primary agriculture in the district is hemp. The population in 2019 was estimated to be 22,588.
Maimay, also known as Darwaz-e Payin, or simply Darwaz, is a district in Badakhshan Province, Afghanistan. It was created in 2005 from part of Darwaz District. It is home to approximately 12,000 residents. This district borders the Kuf Ab, Raghistan, Shighnnan, and Nusay districts, along with some districts in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Province, Tajikistan, including Vanj, Rushon, and Shughnon. The district was historically part of the Darwaz principality, a semi-independent statelet ruled by a mir.
