Goswami

Goswami is an Indian surname and honorific title [1] used by Brahmins [1] [2] [3] [4] and Hindu ascetics. [5] [6] The Goswamis have strong historical ties with the Rajputs (Kshatriyas) as they were highly respected and given high positions by the Rajput Kings. The Goswamis were also Gurus (teachers) and royal advisors of the Rajputs. The term is sometimes also pronounced as, Gosains, Gosine, Gossain, Gosain, Gossai, and Gosavi.
