Campus School is a public English medium senior secondary co-educational school situated in the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU) campus, in Hisar, India. Established in 1971, it caters to the children of CCS HAU employees and students from nearby areas.

History

The school was inaugurated on 14 November 1971 by the then Finance Minister, Om Prakash Jain. Mrs. S. Verma was the first principal. The school received Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) accreditation in July 1972. [1] The school has a big open-air theatre and a big auditorium, mainly, used for prayers.

Vidya Devi Jindal School (VDJS) is a boarding school for girls in Hisar, Haryana, India that was established in 1984 by industrialist Om Prakash Jindal. It was the first venture of his Vidya Devi Jindal Rural Development Trust. The school became functional in July 1984 and was granted affiliation by Central Board of Secondary Education the same year.

The university has 8,645 acres (3,499 ha) of land. It is named after India's fifth Prime Minister, Chaudhary Charan Singh.

Om Prakash Jindal, popularly known as O.P. Jindal, was born in Hisar, Haryana. He established successful business enterprises including Jindal Steel and Power, JSW Group and Jindal Stainless Limited under the flagship of the Jindal Organization, of which he was the chairman. In November 2004, Jindal was awarded the "Life Time Achievement Award" for his outstanding contribution to the Indian steel industry by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. According to the latest Forbes List, he was ranked 13th amongst the richest Indians and 548th amongst the richest persons in the world. He died in a helicopter crash on 31 March 2005.
