Haryana Financial Corporation (HFC) (est. 1 April 1967), is a state-owned agency of the government of Haryana in the Indian state of Haryana, which was founded to provide the integrated finances to small- and medium-sized enterprises to boost economic growth. [1] It offers several fund and non-fund based financial services on real fast track basis for ensuring high growth in a short period for setting up new industrial units and for the expansion and diversification of the existing industries. Related government-owned agency, HSIIDC, [6] [7] [8] [9] was formed to develop integrated industrial, commercial, special economic zones (SEZ)s, [7] technology parks, [10] [11] Integrated Multimodal Logistics Hubs, [12] road, rail, sports and public infrastructure in the state of Haryana in joint venture or public–private partnership. [13] Various universities, educational and training institutes, including the nation's first skills university Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University, provide the human resources to capitalise on the finances offered by the HFC and the infrastructure created by the HSIIDC. Among the related initiatives to boost growth, Haryana was the first state to introduce Labour Policy in 2005, [7] [14] and Land Pooling Policy in 2017. [15]

HSVP is another related government-owned agency responsible for the urban development. [16]

History

HFC was formed on 1 April 1967 by the Department of Industries & Commerce, Haryana to promote Small and medium-sized enterprises for rapid industrialisation. [2]

Panchkula (PKL) is a planned city and district headquarter in the Panchkula district, part of the Ambala division in Haryana, India. The origin of the name Panchkula came from the place where five irrigation canals meet. At present, it forms a part of an adjoining area to the Chandigarh, Mohali and Zirakpur. It is approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) southeast of Chandigarh, 105 km (65 mi) southwest of Shimla, 44 km (27 mi) from Ambala and 259 km (161 mi) northeast of New Delhi, the national capital. It is a part of the Chandigarh capital region or Greater Chandigarh. The Chandigarh-Mohali-Panchkula metropolitan region collectively forms a Chandigarh Tricity, with a combined population of over two million.

As per Nov 2016 data, Gurugram ranks number 1 in India in IT growth rate and existing technology infrastructure, and number 2 in startup ecosystem, innovation and livability.

Nano City was a project proposed by the Haryana government and Sabeer Bhatia to build a city similar to Silicon Valley in northern India. The city was intended to cover 11,000 acres of land near Panchkula.

The Government of Haryana has appointed Ashwin Johar, as Chairman of Foreign Investment and NRI Cell, Haryana, which would provide an Institutional mechanism for: Provision of guidance and advisory services for attracting foreign investment in the state and redressal of other problems faced by the NRI’s of Haryana domicile e.g. property, marital discord, and law and order issues etc.

Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), formerly Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), is the urban planning agency of the state of Haryana in India except Gurugram and Faridabad which has Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority and Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority respectively. It was established in 1977. The Minister of Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana is the chairman of the authority. The headquarters of the authority is located in Panchkula, Haryana.

Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), formerly Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation (HSIDC), headquartered at Panchkula, is a 100% state-owned agency of the government of Haryana in the Indian state of Haryana. For ease of doing business, Haryana is the first state in India to introduce a labour policy in 2005 and Land Pooling Policy in 2017, for which HSIIDC acts as the nodal agency. Haryana Financial Corporation provides financial assistance for setting up new industrial units and for the expansion and diversification of the existing industries. Various universities, educational and training institutes, including the nation's first skills university Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University, provide the human resources to capitalise on the infrastructure created by the HSIIDC.

Rai is a village and development block in Sonepat tehsil of Sonepat district in Haryana state of India. It is located just 1 km from Sonepat.
