Hoti is a union council in the Mardan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The town is located at 34°12'0N°, 72°4'0E at an altitude of 284 metres and lies just east of Peshawar, the capital of the province.
Hoti is a historical Albanian tribe (fis) and sub-region of Malësia, a divided area located in northern Albania and southern Montenegro. Its geography is mostly mountainous, but some of its villages are on flat terrain near the banks of Lake of Shkodër.
The Battle of Deçiq was a battle between Albanian tribesmen and Ottoman forces during the Malësori uprising of 1911. It was a turning point for Albania's secession from the Ottoman Empire. Dedë Gjo Luli, the organiser of the Albanian tribal forces, raised the Albanian flag for the first time since 1479 on the mountain of Deçiq after the Albanians had achieved victory over the Ottoman Turks.
Nawabzada Abdul Ghafoor Khan Hoti (1923–1998) was a former governor of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Belonging to Mardan, he was the son of Nawab Akbar Khan Hoti and father of Inspector General of KPK Police Nawabzada Muhammad Akbar Khan Hoti.
Ameer Haider Khan Hoti is a Pakistani Pashtun politician who was the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2008 to 2013. During his government, the province was renamed from "North-West Frontier Province" to "Khyber Pakhtunkhwa." Hoti had also been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from August 2018 till August 2023 and from June 2013 to May 2018. He is the Senior Vice President of the Awami National Party (ANP).
The Hodï language, also known as Yuwana (Yoana), Waruwaru, or Chikano (Chicano), is a small unclassified language spoken by the Hodï people of Venezuela. Very little is known of it; its several hundred speakers are monolingual hunter-gatherers. The people call themselves Jojodö or Wįlǫ̈, and their language Jojodö tjįwęnę. The two communities with the most speakers are San José de Kayamá and Caño Iguana, with several hundred speakers total.
