The Maryland Attorney General election of 2022 was held on November 8, 2022, to elect the Attorney General of Maryland. Incumbent Democratic Attorney General Brian Frosh was eligible to seek a third term in office, but announced that he would retire at the end of his term in early 2023. [1]
U.S. Representative, former Lieutenant Governor, and 2014 gubernatorial nominee Anthony Brown won the Democratic nomination, while Neo-Confederate former Anne Arundel County councilman and 2004 Constitution Party Presidential nominee Michael Peroutka won the Republican nomination. As was expected, Brown won the general election by a wide margin. [2]

Michael Anthony Peroutka is an American far-right politician, lawyer, and neo-Confederate activist from Maryland. He was the Republican nominee for Attorney General of Maryland in 2022, and was the Constitution Party candidate for president in 2004.
Anthony Gregory Brown is an American lawyer and politician serving as the attorney general of Maryland. He also served as the U.S. representative for Maryland's 4th congressional district from 2017 to 2023 and as the eighth lieutenant governor of Maryland from 2007 to 2015. He was the Democratic Party's nominee for governor in the 2014 election, losing to Republican Larry Hogan in a close race.
Rushern Leslie Baker III is an American lawyer and politician who served as the 7th county executive of Prince George's County, Maryland from 2010 to 2018. He previously served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates from 1994 to 2003, representing District 22B in northern Prince George's County. A member of the Democratic Party, Baker unsuccessfully ran for governor of Maryland in 2018 and 2022.

Hershey Jr. is an American politician who has served as a member of the Maryland Senate from District 36 since 2013, and as the minority leader of the Maryland Senate since January 11, 2023.
