  2. The Baratarian only fought during the time of the Battle of New Orleans in exchange for pardons.
  3. The Hualapai War and the Yavapai Wars were contemporaneous and overlapped each other, but were distinct conflicts.
  4. Raids that were carried out in 1866 took place in the Province of Canada and the colony of New Brunswick; prior to Confederation in 1867.
