The 2024 United States House of Representatives election in North Dakota were held on November 5, 2024, to elect a member of the United States House of Representatives to represent the state of North Dakota from its at-large congressional district . The election coincided with the 2024 U.S. presidential election, as well as other elections to the U.S. House, elections to the United States Senate, and various other state and local elections. The primary elections are scheduled for June 11, 2024.

Contents

Incumbent Republican representative Kelly Armstrong was re-elected with 62.2% of the vote in 2022 against an independent candidate. He is not seeking re-election in 2024, instead choosing to run for governor.

WFZG news hosted a primary debate between Balazs, Becker, and Fedorchak on April 12, 2024. [30]

On May 11, BEK TV hosted a debate between all the candidates. However, Fedorchak and Mohr were unable to attend, leaving just Becker, Balazs, and Mund. [31]

On May 24, a third debate was hosted by KFGO news between all candidates except Mohr. [32] Again on June 6, a fourth debate was hosted by WDAY News between all candidates except Mohr. [33]

Julie Ann Fedorchak is an American politician who is a member of the North Dakota Public Service Commission and a candidate for the United States Congress. She was appointed to the commission by Governor Jack Dalrymple in December 2012 and easily won reelection to that position three times: to a two-year term in 2014, to a six-year term in 2016, and to another six-year term in 2022.

Kelly Michael Armstrong is an American lawyer and politician who is the Governor-elect of North Dakota, presently serving as the U.S. representative for North Dakota's at-large congressional district since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he served as the North Dakota state senator from the 36th district from 2012 to 2018 and chair of the North Dakota Republican Party from 2015 until 2018. On January 23, 2024, he announced he would not seek re-election to the House, and would instead run in the 2024 North Dakota gubernatorial election. Armstrong won the Republican primary on June 11, 2024, and defeated Democratic nominee Merrill Piepkorn in the general election.

The 2022 United States Senate election in North Dakota was held on November 8, 2022, to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the state of North Dakota. Incumbent Republican John Hoeven was first elected in 2010 with 76% of the vote to succeed retiring Democratic–NPL incumbent Byron Dorgan, and won re-election in 2016 with 78.5% of the vote. He ran for a re-election to a third term in office against Democratic-NPL nominee Katrina Christiansen. He also faced State Representative Rick Becker, who initially ran as a Republican in the primary, but suspended his campaign in August 2022 and instead ran as an Independent.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2024 United States Senate election in Montana</span>

The 2024 United States Senate election in Montana was held on November 5, 2024, to elect a member of the United States Senate to represent the state of Montana. Incumbent Democratic Senator Jon Tester lost re-election to a fourth term, being defeated by Republican nominee Tim Sheehy. Sheehy's victory gave Republicans control of both of Montana's Senate seats for the first time since 1911. Primary elections took place on June 4, 2024. Although Tester outperformed Kamala Harris in the concurrent presidential election by 12.8 points, which was the strongest overperformance of any Democratic Senate candidate, it was still not enough to win.

Michelle Strinden is an American politician serving as a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives from the 41st district. Elected in November 2018, she assumed office on December 1, 2018. She is the lieutenant governor-elect of North Dakota, having been elected in 2024, on a ticket with U.S. Representative Kelly Armstrong, the candidate for governor.

The 2024 North Dakota gubernatorial election was held on November 5, 2024, to elect the governor of North Dakota. Incumbent Republican governor Doug Burgum decided to not seek re-election to a third term. He would ultimately decide to run for president. The Democratic–Nonpartisan League (NPL) Party has not won a governor's race in North Dakota since 1988.
