The 2024 Arizona Senate election will be held on November 5, 2024. Voters will elect members of the Arizona Senate in all 30 of the state's legislative districts to serve a two-year term. Primary elections are scheduled for July 30, 2024. [1]
Prior to the elections, the Republican Party held a narrow majority over the Democratic Party, controlling 16 seats to their 14 seats.

The Arizona State Senate is part of the Arizona Legislature, the state legislature of the US state of Arizona. The Senate consists of 30 members each representing an average of 219,859 constituents. Members serve two-year terms with term limits that limit Senators to a maximum four consecutive terms before requiring a one-term respite prior to running again. Members of the Republican Party are currently the majority in the Senate. There are currently 16 women serving in the Senate after Raquel Terán was appointed, making it the first time a majority of the body was composed of female members.
The Arizona Democratic Party is the affiliate of the Democratic Party in the U.S. state of Arizona. Its headquarters are in Phoenix.
Kathleen Marie Hobbs is an American politician and social worker serving since 2023 as the 24th governor of Arizona. Hobbs is the first social worker to be elected governor of a U.S. state and is Arizona's fifth female governor. A member of the Democratic Party, she was secretary of state of Arizona from 2019 to 2023 and a member of the Arizona State Legislature from 2011 to 2019.
Javan Daniel "J.D." Mesnard is an American politician and a Republican member of the Arizona Senate representing District 13 since 2023. He previously represented District 17 from 2019 to 2023.
Anthony Kern is an American politician and a Republican member of the Arizona Senate, representing District 27 since 2023. He previously represented District 20 in the State House of Representatives from January 5, 2015, to January 11, 2021.
Arizona's 26th legislative district is one of 30 in the state, consisting of a section of Maricopa County. As of 2023, there are 34 precincts in the district, all in Maricopa, with a total registered voter population of 81,300. The district has an overall population of 237,193.

He was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023, representing House District 22. Carroll was first elected in 2018 to succeed State Representative David Livingston, who instead ran for State Senate.
Anna Hernandez is an American politician. Hernandez was elected in 2022 to serve in the Arizona State Senate representing District 24 as a member of the Democratic Party, defeating incumbent State Representative Cesar Chavez in the Democratic primary. Hernandez went on to be unopposed in the general election.
Wendy Rogers is an American far-right Republican politician. First elected in 2020, Rogers is the Arizona State Senator representing Legislative District 7.
The 55th Arizona State Legislature, consisting of the Arizona Senate and the Arizona House of Representatives, is the current legislative session constituted in Phoenix on January 11, 2021, during the second two years of Doug Ducey's second full term in office. Both the Senate and the House membership remained constant at 30 and 60, respectively. In the November 2020 Senate election, Democrats gained one seat, leaving the Republicans with a 16–14 majority. Republicans maintained an unchanged 31–29 majority in the House after the November 2020 House election.

Flavio Bravo is an American politician. He is a Democratic member for the 26th district of the Arizona Senate, after being appointed to the position following the resignation of Raquel Terán. He previously served in the Arizona House of Representatives from January to May 2023.
Austin Smith is an American politician. He has been a member of the 29th district of the Arizona House of Representatives, alongside Steve Montenegro, since 2023. In April 2024 he withdrew his bid for a second term and resigned as a senior director of Turning Point Action amid allegations he had forged voter signatures on election documents.
Yassamin Ansari is an American climate policy leader and politician who served on the Phoenix City Council from 2021 to 2024. At the time of her election, she was the youngest person to be elected to the council and the first Iranian American elected to public office in Arizona.
