This list does not include cities such as Chicago, Illinois or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in which, according to the 2000 Census, merely a plurality (as opposed to a majority) of the residents are African American. The list below is organized by state and, within each state, by population size. The percentage of each city's population that is African American is listed in parentheses next to the city's name.[ citation needed ]

Redway is a census-designated place (CDP) in Humboldt County, California, United States. Redway is located 2.25 miles (3.6 km) northwest of Garberville, at an elevation of 538 feet (164 m). The population was 1,225 at the 2010 census, up from 1,188 at the 2000 census. Redway is also home to Redway Elementary School, with grades K–6.
Westhaven-Moonstone is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Humboldt County, California, United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 1,205, up from 1,044 at the 2000 census.
La Presa is a census-designated place (CDP) in the East County region of San Diego County, California, United States. The population was 34,169 at the 2010 census, up from 32,721 at the 2000 census.
Kennedy is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Joaquin County, California, United States. The population was 3,356, at the 2020 census, up from 3,254 at the 2000 census.
Seven Trees is a Neighborhood of San Jose, California. It was formerly an unincorporated census-designated place surrounded completely by South San Jose and it was annexed into San Jose on November 23, 2009.
Carrick is a census-designated place (CDP) in Siskiyou County, California, United States. Its population is 143 as of the 2020 census, up from 131 from the 2010 census. Carrick is located just outside the town of Weed, uses Weed in its mailing addresses and is generally viewed by locals as a neighborhood of Weed, though located outside of the city proper. On September 15, 2014, Carrick was under mandatory evacuation order due to a forest fire.
Occidental is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sonoma County, California, United States. The population was 1,132 at the 2020 census, up from 1,115 at the 2010 census.

Manton is a census-designated place (CDP) partially in Tehama County, California, United States. It is also in Shasta County. The population in the Tehama County portion was 347 at the 2010 census, down from 372 at the 2000 census.
London is a census designated place (CDP) in Tulare County, California, United States. The population was 1,869 at the 2010 census, up from 1,848 at the 2000 census.
Tipton is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tulare County, California, United States. The population was 2,543 at the 2010 census, up from 1,790 at the 2000 census.
Leisure Village is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Lakewood Township, in Ocean County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 4,400. The sprawling active adult community is also locally known as "Original" Leisure Village because it was the first of three neighboring active adult communities bearing similar names. Leisure Village East, and Leisure Village West are the other two communities nearby. Original Leisure Village (OLV) is also referred to by the moniker "The Village of Seven Lakes."
Pine Ridge at Crestwood is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Manchester Township, in Ocean County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 2,369.
White Horse also Šuŋgská oyáŋke is a census-designated place (CDP) in Todd County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 234 at the 2020 census.
Ghent is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Ghent in Columbia County, New York, United States. The population of the CDP was 477 at the 2022 survey, out of a total town population of 5,402.
